About The Creator

I'm Rosalind Cook and I created The Supas.  These beautiful heroes are to acknowledge the amazing hero in black women. As child I loved watching cartoons like Superfriends, and Wonder Woman,  I always hoped and waited for the black lady hero to show up, kick butt and save the world from destruction like the other heroes. She never came.

As an adult, I began to realize all the awesome women in my life were themselves heroes. The accomplishments of these women  working full time, while completing degrees; raising families, taking care of elderly parents or grandparents, volunteering, running marathons, public speaking, always learning new things and looking good all while doing it, fills me with a tremendous sense of pride.

Looking back, these women have influenced my life growing up, and its these women that have always survived with resilience and silent strength. These are the champions that don't get acknowledged as heroes in the media. I would like to give girls and women for the next generations, positive Supaheroes that look like and celebrate them. Finally, I hope to let the world see these strong beautiful powerful women as I see them. As real Supaheroes.

Stay Supa!
